The Action aims at establishing businesses and strengthening the competitiveness of new small and very small enterprises in small islands with a population of up to 3,100 inhabitants.

 

Terms & Conditions of Participation

An under establishment or new enteprise can apply for the Action if it meets – cumulatively – the following conditions:

• Every enterprise being set up must start operations after the online submission of the application for funding. Furthermore, the same investing entity (company/shareholder/partner/owner) must not be involved in more than one funding application.
• Each new enterprise must have less than two (2) complete and closed financial years at the date of online submission of the application for funding.
• Implement an investment project related to at least one eligible SIC (based on the SICs included in the Call).
• Operating/will operate in the Greek territory and invest exclusively in one (1) establishment within the geographical boundaries of islands with a population of up to 3,100 inhabitants, according to the last census of the year 2021.
• Operating or will operate legally with the appropriate licensing document.
• Being registered or will be registered in the Register of Beneficiaries.
• Commit that until the completion of the project and depending on the type and nature of the project, it will ensure that appropriate interventions are made to ensure access for people with disabilities to the company’s buildings, services and electronic environments.
• Provide evidence of the availability of funds of at least 30% of the Total Budget of the Investment Plan.
• The funding application must contain at least 30% expenditure related to the subcategories identified as contributing to Environmental Protection and Energy Saving (Green Technology Solutions).
• Commit to an increase in employment during the implementation of the investment, which if maintained for one year will increase employment by at least half (0.5) unit (compared to employment in the year 2024). Furthermore, commit to maintain the increase for at least one year after the completion of the investment.
• The investment project must not concern the establishment or increase in capacity of tourism accommodation.

 

Budget & Rate of Aid

The budget of the Action is 30.000.000,00€ and the aid scheme is the European Commission Regulation 2023/2831/13.12.2023 (De Minimis).

 

The minimum subsidized budget is 20.000,00€ and the maximum is 150.000,00€ with the proportional subsidy amounting to 70% of the eligible costs.

 

The duration of the implementation of the project is eighteen (18) months from the date of publication of the Decision of Inclusion of each project.
