The sub-project “Green Agrotourism” of the Action“Economic Transformation of the Rural Sector” has been launched.
This sub-project aims to support Tourism Investments and in particular concerns investment projects in the tourism sector, which link the primary and secondary sector with the tertiary sector, creating a new tourism product.

Duration of the implementation of Investment Plans: 18 months with the possibility of a six (6) month extension (due to force majeure or upon specific justification)

Conditions for inclusion
Beneficiaries may be either existing legal entities or legal entities in the process of being established that will
complete the procedures for setting up before the adoption of the individual aid decision, which cumulatively meet the following conditions:
- They are financially non-problematic enterprises
- Be able to document the coverage of the required Private Participation of the submitted project (using Equity and/or External Financing)
- They are committed to implement an investment project for Experiential Rural Agrotourism (Promotion of local gastronomy, Promotion of local cultural heritage through rural activities, etc.)
- They are committed to implementing expenditure related to the green transition of the business. At least one of the following categories:
- Investments in buildings to achieve a higher energy efficiency factor
- Investment in machinery with reduced energy consumption
- Supply of vehicles of the highest, available emission measurement standard, as applicable to each
vehicle category - Investments in RES
- Investment in infrastructure that contributes to water saving
- Investment in mechanical equipment that contributes to water saving.
Additional Eligible IDs of business activity
- Tourist (ID of business activity 55) under the following conditions:
- 5, 4 or 3 star classic hotels with a minimum capacity of 10 rooms and 20 beds
- 5, 4 or 3 star classic hotels with a minimum capacity of 10 rooms and 20 beds
- 4 key rooms, minimum capacity of 5 rooms and 10 beds
- 4 key furnished apartments, minimum capacity of 5 rooms and 10 beds
- Tourist furnished accommondation, one or two-storey detached houses that have independent operation, independent external access each and privacy, with minimum dimensions: a) one-room 40 sq.m. b) two main rooms 60 sq.m.
- Food service activities (ID of business acitvity 56)
- Activities of travel agencies, package travel agencies, reservation service and related activities (ID of business activitiy79)
- Creative activities, arts and entertainment (ID of business activity 90)
- Activities of libraries, archives, museums and other cultural activities (ID of business activity 91)
- Sporting, recreational and leisure activities (ID of business activity 93)
Eligible expenditure
Eligible costs for the “Green Rural Agrotourism” Programme are the following categories:
- Construction or modernisation of property
- Landscaping of the surrounding area
- Vehicles with which the undertaking carries out transport of raw materials and products within the premises of the establishment.
Eligible vehicles are electric vehicles, zero-emission CO2 vehicles and CO2-emitting vehicles
less than 50g/Km , and up to a maximum of 20% of the approved Budget - Purchase, transport and installation of equipment
- Expenditure on computerisation equipment of the enterprise (such as the purchase of telephone installations, intercommunication
networks, computers and peripherals, photocopiers, security
systems for premises, fire protection systems for premises - Expenditure on ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities
- Intangible expenditure such as software acquisition and the acquisition of patents, licences
intellectual property rights (copyright), trademarks and patentsup to a maximum of 50% of the approved
Budget - Aid for consultancy services to SMEs
- Aid for participation of SMEs in trade exhibitions
- Investment aid for the promotion of energy production from renewable sources
All costs must be incurred strictly after the submission of the Application for Importation. The start
of operations of the investment project before the submission of the application for aid will result in the rejection of the application for the whole investment project.
